The actor and many more ignorant Ghanaians who make such utterances will be surprised to know that on one of my transits around the world,i met a white English man at an airport in Denver.
During the cause of our conversation,this man told me he's never seen or known of a better comedian than Opia. And this was comments from a man from England where i think the best comedies are performed on this planet.
And i don't recall where Opia's comedies were done in English.
Just a couple of days ago,somebody in government stated that Ghana pays people without thinking and you ekow smith-asante is one such people.

We had a minister or somebody in government insulting cocoa farmers not long ago and this person still remain in his post.Anywhere else,this person's political career would have ended.
Now we have this so called movie star insulting people living and toiling in the rural areas to feed the nation.
When i hear such remarks and it's not only these above stated ones,i only feel sorry for the country Ghana.
For a so called self proclaimed educated person to display such stupidity,explains why Ghana will forever remain where it is.
i never thought i would ever have to say this but many at times people from the coastal areas in Ghana like to boast about being educated than those from the other parts of the country notably,Ashanti,Brong Ahafo,parts of Eastern/Western regions.They describe them as bush people but do they look around themselves?
My message for this ekow smith-asante,the minister or government spokes person and all those of you with similar comments and views,bear in mind that without the hard work of the village people you don't regard and respect,Ghana the country you live in would have been worst off than it is now.And if any of you happen/d to have benefited from the CMB scholarship to enable you through your good for nothing education,you cast a curse on your miserable selves.
Finally,compare the living conditions of your towns and villages in your regions to that of Ashanti,Brong Ahafo,Kwahu and Akyem and see who is making progress.
Calling for apology is under statement you should be booted out of the industry you work in for such an ill thought of remarks.
By the way your fake accent and other pretences only make the country laughable to the outside world.Live real and be proud of yourself instead of trying to be somebody/thing else.

My problem is the local movie industry must united as one,restrict and improve upon our culture phenomenom. Most directors,producers and actors must be trainned and educated about this business.Reality,goodstories,good director,sound and everything that makes the consumer gets value for what he has bought. And also the copyright should also secure movies from pirators.Producers spend alot of money but pirators make producers suffer losses which prevents them from spending much to produce quality products.The english movies premier thier movies in big cinemas in abroad(nigeria,gambia,serria leone,ghana,liberia,uk,usa and canada)this makes them cover up thier budget and makes high revenue comparing to the local movies which cant reach this level.
