As a former musician,I do appreciate the writer's concerns and I hope the organizers would take them in good faith and do better next time.Practice makes perfect.
We lag far behind the developed world for various reasons but one is that the value of time seem to have been lost on us. Rekognize may be shell-shocked or perhaps clutching their pearls because of the critique of their show but in order for them to get better they need to realize that time is of the essence. It'd take a huge generational change in leadership in Ghana to bring transformation and re-unite the nation.What if the mantle of leadership falls on the fragile shoulders of a younger generation that refuses to understand that time is of the essence? The show must be seen not only in context of grooming a better new generation of musicians but also a better new generation of leaders.I share this belief with numerous others that music knowledge equals brain power. Some of these musicians if they are properly taught and mentored could become the great political leaders of tomorrow and the essense of time must always be an integral part of their character.
