Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has warned authorities against attempting to arrest him for a third time, stating that they would not like the consequences.

He made the statement during a TikTok live session while discussing fraud and comments he made at ShattaFest 2026, where he criticised what he described as selective justice in Ghana.

During his performance at the event, Shatta Wale questioned why young people are being arrested over fraud while government officials accused of misusing public funds appeared to escape similar action.

To support his argument during the live session, the musician referred to the alleged fraud surrounding visa arrangements for the 2026 FIFA World Cup involving officials linked to the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

“Recently, during the World Cup, didn’t you see how many people were allegedly defrauded by some authorities? Whenever I speak about leaders in this country being involved in fraud, someone questions why I say such things. But these are the very people who have created a system that allows such things to happen,” he said.

Shatta Wale also recalled his previous encounters with the authorities, arguing that they showed how the country’s justice system treats people differently.

The dancehall musician was previously arrested over allegations of causing fear and panic and taken to Ankaful Prison.

He was subsequently detained by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in connection with investigations into his yellow Lamborghini, which authorities have linked to suspected proceeds of crime.

However, the musician has warned that any attempt to arrest him for a third time would provoke a strong response.

“Personally, I do not engage in fraud. The first time, I was arrested and taken to Ankaful Prison. The second time, they seized my Lamborghini. If they try something for the third time, they will see something in this country,” he noted.

Shatta Wale further called on the government and relevant authorities to address fraud within the system instead of focusing only on individuals accused of such offences.

“They should find a way to fix the fraud within the system so that the problem ends there,” he added.
