Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has apologised after facing criticism on social media over a lighthearted video in which she publicly appealed to Stonebwoy for a music collaboration.

'I am not your mate' - Mr Drew clashes with a netizen
“If my approach made Stonebwoy, his team, or anyone feel disrespected, I sincerely apologise. That was never my intention, and I would never intentionally disrespect someone I have so much admiration for,” she wrote.
She also urged social media users not to misrepresent the situation, insisting there was no feud or hidden motive behind the video that has since gone viral.
“Let’s not turn a simple request for a collaboration into a narrative of disrespect. There was no bad blood, no shade, and no hidden agenda. Just an artist expressing interest in making music with another artist,” she added.
The statement comes after netizens trolled the singer over the humorous video, with some interpreting her approach as disrespectful towards Stonebwoy.
