Veteran Ghanaian musician and dancer, Slim Buster, has described the current crop of musicians as being selfish, claiming they are unwilling to work with older artistes in the music industry.

Speaking on Adom TV, Slim Buster shared an experience in which he sent someone to ask an artiste for a collaboration but got an unpleasant response.

According to him, the response he received was so disturbing that he was shocked by the attitude shown towards him.

“The current musicians are selfish. They are all selfish, and I am telling you the gospel truth. Why should I be scared of them? They are my kids. I once sent someone on my behalf to approach a musician for a collaboration, and the response we received was so shocking that even if you heard it, you would throw up,” he said.

Slim Buster also mentioned an alleged incident involving veteran musician Nana Kwame, who reportedly approached a younger musician during a visit to Ghana to work on a song together.

He claimed the younger artiste dismissed the idea, arguing that Nana Kwame’s music career was over and that he wanted to work with him to regain his former popularity.

“Nana Kwame came to Ghana and wanted to collaborate with one of the current musicians, but the musician said Nana Kwame’s career was over and that he was trying to use him to revive it,” he added.

Slim Buster expressed disappointment over such an attitude, arguing that veteran musicians deserve recognition and respect for their contributions to the industry.
