Ghanaian-British singer Stephanie Benson has called for women to be given the option to have more than one husband, saying men have traditionally enjoyed more freedom when it comes to relationships.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on October 7, 2026, she said society often accepts men having more than one woman but does not give women the same freedom.
“If I could bring that back so women to have more than one husband, that will be the ideal situation. I think it’s about time we had more than one husband,” she said.
Stephanie Benson said women are also capable of handling more than one relationship and should not be seen as unable to do so.
“I think it’s important because men underestimate women. They think they are the only ones who need more than one woman, but a true woman, our juices, it flows by far more than that. It is only because we are dedicated and loyal. That’s why we stay with one man,” she said.

She added that women choosing to stay with one man does not mean they cannot have more than one partner.
“But if that rule was there, listen, we can satisfy a multitude of men. Intellectual satisfaction for the man is there; we can support, and we can look after how many children? So why can’t we have two, three men? I mean, I can,” she noted.
