Apostle Rita Korankye Ankrah, wife of Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah, founder and Apostle-General of Royal House Chapel International, has revealed that she initially wanted her husband to die before her but has now changed her mind.
Speaking during their vow renewal ceremony to mark 40 years of marriage, Apostle Rita explained that she initially wanted to outlive her husband so she could organise a befitting burial for him.
However, she said she has reconsidered the idea because she does not want her husband to get to heaven before her and risk another woman taking her place.
“I’ve always said that I wanted him to die first. So you all know I’m a very good organiser. So I can organise a befitting burial for him. But today, I changed my mind. I don’t want him to get to heaven first. And another woman takes my place,” she said.

Apostle Rita said she now desires that they live beyond age 90, die within the same week and be buried together at the same place.
“So I have decided that we are going the same week. 90 years and above will be buried together, like my parents will be buried at the same place on the same day,” she stated.
Her husband, Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah, responded humorously, saying the voice that convinced her to change her mind was the voice of God.
He explained that if he were to die first and she later married another man, he would not allow the new husband to enjoy peace in the marriage.
“And I just want to let her know that the voice that told her to change her mind is the voice of God. Because if I go first and she marries any other man, they will be lying in bed and I’ll come with a cane. I’ll come and whip the man out of them,” he stated.
