Like Kanayo said, negotiate what you believe you are worth and what is due to you. Stop asking what Kanayo or someone else is receiving.
I remember back in the day when Guinness brought P-Square to Ghana to perform. P-Square negotiated $200,000 for a two-hour performance, while some Ghanaian musicians, including R2Bees, reportedly negotiated $10,000 for the same two hours.
On the day of the show in Accra, R2Bees found out how much P-Square was being paid and asked to be given the same amount.
The question Guinness reportedly asked was simple
:
“If you believe you are worth $200,000 like P-Square, why didn’t you mention that during our negotiation?”
R2Bees mentioned $10,000, and that was what they were paid. P-Square mentioned $200,000, and that was what they were paid.
The lesson is simple: Ghanaians,
negotiate your own worth. Negotiate what you believe you deserve. Don’t wait until you find out what someone else is receiving before deciding what you should have asked for.
Know your value. State your price. Negotiate your worth.

This guy is fast evolving into someone Ghanaians should pay close attention to, he seems to know his onions
