Like Kanayo said, negotiate what you believe you are worth and what is due to you. Stop asking what Kanayo or someone else is receiving.
I remember back in the day when Guinness brought P-Square to Ghana to perform. P-Square negotiated $200,000 for a two-hour performance, while some Ghanaian musicians, including R2Bees, reportedly negotiated $10,000 for the same two hours.
On the day of the show in Accra, R2Bees found out how much P-Square was being paid and asked to be given the same amount.
The question Guinness reportedly asked was simple
:
“If you believe you are worth $200,000 like P-Square, why didn’t you mention that during our negotiation?”
R2Bees mentioned $10,000, and that was what they were paid. P-Square mentioned $200,000, and that was what they were paid.
The lesson is simple: Ghanaians,
negotiate your own worth. Negotiate what you believe you deserve. Don’t wait until you find out what someone else is receiving before deciding what you should have asked for.
Know your value. State your price. Negotiate your worth.

How on earth will a Ghanaian actor here asked to be payed the same amount as a foreign actor. This is very strange but I will attribute it to ignorance. The film industry is even gone with our actors/actresses now engaging other businesses.Only few are acting but in Nigeria films and you get the opportunity to act alongside these elite actors/actresses and instead of taking advantage of the platform to leverage and build networks all you could think of is money. No wonder many don't go far.Asem paa nice.

Have they not all turned to juju skit makers? Nigerians are in real shit.....where majority of them cannot even feed well. Why are they trooping into Ghana in droves?
Instead of collecting the money that they so much need to cushion them, they're here and spewing rubbish. 99.9% of prostitutes in Ghana are Nigerians. 99.9% of criminals in Ghana are Nigerians. 99.9 % of prisoners in Ghana are Nigerians. This unnecessary yeye man should give us a break. Tui....tui....Tui.
