Because the sachet water industry in Ghana is a notorious free for all. there is no trademark protection at all. There are people making water in their homes and printing all kinds of logo on it. There is no regulation and no control at all. So make sure you are buying your water from a reputable source. Buyer beware!
secondly, storage conditions. Water in plastic containers is not meant to be stored in direct sunlight. But go around Accra and see. Sunlight upon sunlight shinning on these bags everywhere.
thirdly, it may just have been a bad batch. In Ghana, we have almost no food safety recall mechanism. None. So again, buyer beware. Take precautions to protect yourself and your family.
FDA cannot go around all market places making sure people store food and beverages properly. WE are a people lacking discipline. these are all manifestations of it. we think we are doing someone. 3ni y3n n3
