She has finally realised that the grass isn’t greener on the other side. She soon discovered that the luxurious lifestyle she had become accustomed to could neither be sustained by her nor by the gentlemen who were making all those big promises. They were good at “hitting hard,” but when real support was needed, there was no one to turn to.
She should be grateful that the old man accepted her back. Otherwise, she might have eventually realised just how foolish her decision was.
This should serve as a lesson to all women who think life outside marriage is rosier.
