Videos circulating on social media capture the founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, celebrating with members of his congregation following reports that his marriage to gospel musician Florence Obinim has ended.

In the videos, Bishop Obinim and hundreds of congregants were seen dressed in all-white outfits as they sing, dance, and jubilate during what appears to be a church gathering.

The celebration comes days after reports alleged that Florence’s family had returned the traditional marriage drinks, known as Tiri Nsa, to Bishop Obinim’s family, a customary act often interpreted as the dissolution of a traditional marriage.

The reports were first made public by media personality Ola Michael, who claimed the information came from a member of Bishop Obinim’s family. According to him, Bishop Obinim’s family accepted the returned drinks, although neither the bishop nor Florence Obinim has publicly confirmed the claims.

The reported split follows months of public tension between the couple. In June 2026, Bishop Obinim openly admitted to challenges in their marriage, saying he had become unhappy in the relationship.

Florence later responded, stating she had done everything possible to preserve the union and would accept divorce if that was ultimately her husband’s decision.

Bishop Obinim and Florence have been married for more than two decades and share three children.

Throughout their marriage, Florence played a prominent role in the church’s ministry as a gospel singer, widely recognized for leading worship at the International God’s Way Church.
