I doubt whether a 5 year old kid recalls anything about his childhood unless a very dramatic incident happened that remained etched but yet buried somewhere in his memory.If,for instance,a girl of that age was painfully defiled. It comes as an off-and-on flashback years later. At the time,Kidi would not have known that he was 5 years old.However at a much older age,the mind would have allowed him to play backwards the years and then would have realised that he was 5 at the time. I am not saying I believe this chap's story,since they all lie to generate clicks anyway. All I am saying is that it is possible to recall dramatic incidents that occurred in one's life at the age of 5 along with the fact that parents do sometimes help their children recall by narrating childhood incidents to them!
