Mugeez, a member of the R2Bees group, has expressed disappointment in some hospitals in Ghana following the tragic death of a 31‑year‑old pregnant woman during childbirth on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
In a post shared on Facebook and sighted by GhanaWeb on August 28, 2026, Mugeez called on the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service to pay critical attention to what he described as growing indiscipline among some health practitioners.
According to the acclaimed musician, the death of Theresa Boakye Dua Asante at the Ridge Hospital could have been prevented if health practitioners were more serious and disciplined in carrying out their duties.

“Being a woman and pregnant in any part of Ghana should not be a death sentence. We need action and discipline in our public health centres and hospitals,” he said.
Mugeez further called for health practitioners in public hospitals who engage in what he described as gross negligence to be sanctioned.
“The gross negligence of our public hospitals that are supposed to be saving us is killing us. We demand the Ministry of Health, Ghana, sanction and bring discipline into the public healthcare centres, hospitals, and workers. So sad. Rest well,” he added.
