After breaking down in tears on live television while revealing that her second marriage of one year and nine months had collapsed, an old video of media personality Cynthia Tima Yeboah, popularly known as Tima Kumkum, has resurfaced online.

It may be recalled that Tima Kumkum, during an interview on Joy Prime aired on August 12, 2026, disclosed that she and her husband had been living separately since April 2025 and that their divorce case is currently before the court.

Following the revelation, a 2021 interview she granted media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso on The Delay Show has resurfaced, in which she opened up about the circumstances surrounding her first marriage.

According to Tima Kumkum, she married her first husband as a way of getting back at her ex-boyfriend.

She explained that she was not in love with her husband at the time and only settled down with him to make her former partner jealous. She added that she now regrets the divorce and wishes she had not ended the marriage.

“I got married to my ex-husband so it would hurt my ex-boyfriend. I wasn’t in love with him. I only liked him, and he knew that. He didn’t treat me badly,” she said.

The media personality further expressed remorse over her decision, admitting that she acted out of anger.

“I have regretted it. If I had known better, I wouldn’t have divorced him because he didn’t do anything wrong to me. I ended the marriage because of how angry I was,” she added.
