Gifty Nana Afriyie, the wife of Kumawood actor Oteele, has dismissed claims that she was the woman seen in a leaked adult tape involving her husband.

Her clarification comes after a video showing Oteele in an intimate moment with another woman surfaced on social media, sparking discussion and speculation about the identity of the woman featured in the footage.

In a video shared on her TikTok page, Gifty Nana Afriyie explained that some people who do not know her personally have assumed that she is the woman in the leaked video.

She, however, dismissed the claims, urging people to look closely at the video and compare the complexion of the woman with hers.

According to her, the woman in the leaked footage is light-skinned, while she does not have a fair complexion.

“The particular reason I am here is that some people who do not know me well think that I am the one in the video. No, please, I am not the one in the video. There is a light on me. Look at my skin colour and hand. I am not light-skinned,” she said.

Gifty Nana Afriyie, who oversees an orphanage home, also spoke about the impact the controversy could have on the children under her care.

Speaking through her pain and visibly emotional, she offered an apology on behalf of herself and her family while appealing to families who have entrusted their children to the home not to lose confidence in her because of the incident.

She pleaded with the families not to come for their orphans from the home, stressing that she loves the children and remains committed to caring for them.

The wife of the Kumawood actor, who was seen in tears, said she has pledged to be a good mentor and role model to the children and is relying on God for the strength and support needed to help them grow and achieve their full potential.

“I plead with families not to lose confidence in me. I will be a good mentor to the children. No family should come to take their orphans from the home because I love these children. I ask God to give me the strength and all the help I need to take care of them and help them reach the heights that will make my soul feel fulfilled,” she added.

Meanwhile, actor Oteele has been at the centre of attention on social media in recent days following the emergence of the trending video showing him with another woman in an intimate moment.

Oteele, speaking about the situation, admitted that the incident has been painful and embarrassing for him, particularly because of the intense public reaction and backlash that followed the circulation of the video.

According to the actor, he has had to console himself and find the strength to cope with the situation despite the insults and criticism directed at him.

He acknowledged that people have the right to judge him based on what they have seen, but urged the public to remember that everyone has faults and is capable of making mistakes.

“If I don’t console myself, I will die. For someone like me who loves food, I can’t even eat. It is not easy. If insults could kill, I would have died by now. Some people are happy, while others are sad but through all this, I have seen my enemies,” he said.
