Ghanaian actor Yaw Dabo has announced plans to auction his iPhone 17 Pro Max for GH¢2 million, citing its association with several prominent footballers as the reason for the phone’s increased value.

In an interview, Yaw Dabo explained that the phone became a treasured souvenir after football personalities including John Terry, Jude Bellingham, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice and Reece James used it to take pictures during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to the actor, what was once an ordinary iPhone 17 Pro Max has now taken on a unique value because it carries memories of his encounters with some of the biggest names in football.

He is consequently seeking GH¢2 million for the device, hoping that wealthy individuals and football enthusiasts will see its sentimental and memorabilia value.

“I am auctioning my iPhone 17 Pro Max for GH¢2 million because it has been held by John Terry, Jude Bellingham, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Reece James and several other footballers,” he said.

Yaw Dabo also called on wealthy Ghanaian businessmen, including Fada Dickson, Ibrahim Mahama, Osei Kwame Despite, Twum Barimah and Richard Nii Armah Quaye, among others, to consider purchasing the phone.

He explained that proceeds from the sale would be invested in his colt team, which he continues to support.

The actor further disclosed that the auction will be open to interested buyers beyond Ghana, allowing individuals from other countries to participate in the bidding.
