Rapper Sarkodie has advised individuals to be more careful about sharing their plans, dreams and ambitions with others, urging them to work quietly and allow their achievements to speak for themselves.

The multiple award-winning rapper made the observation in a post on Facebook, where he encouraged his followers to stop announcing every idea, move or dream before putting them into action.

Sarkodie, who became the first artiste to win the BET Award for Best International Flow in 2019, suggested that constantly talking about one's plans can expose them to unnecessary opinions, doubt, jealousy and negative energy from others.

According to the ‘Adonai’ hitmaker, some people may not genuinely want to see others succeed and could even discourage them from pursuing their goals if given the opportunity.

He therefore encouraged individuals to adopt a more private approach to their ambitions, stressing the need to focus on execution rather than repeatedly discussing what they intend to accomplish.

The rapper urged his followers to make the necessary moves, build their businesses, start their projects and work towards changing their lives before revealing their achievements to the world.

Sarkodie wrote: “Stop telling everybody your damn plans. Every idea don't need an announcement.
Every move doesn’t need a conversation. Every dream doesn’t need a committee.
You keep telling people, I'm about to do this...I'm finna start that... watch what I'm about to do...Then nothing happens. Now you looking crazy, and on top of that, you done gave everybody a chance to throw their doubt, jealousy, opinions, and negative energy all over something that wasn't even built yet.”

He added, “Some people don't want to see you win. Some people will laugh in your face and secretly hope it never works. Some people will talk you out of your own damn vision if you let them. So shut up and work. Move in silence. Make the calls. Build the business. Start the project. Make the money. Change your life.”

Sarkodie concluded, “Let people find out when it's already done.
You don't owe anybody a preview of what God put in your spirit. Stop talking about what you're gonna do and go do that ish. Results speak louder than plans ever will.”
