I have no intention of causing my siblings pain or harm

Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, has assured his siblings that he has no intention of escalating the ongoing family dispute or causing them any form of pain or harm.

Speaking in a Zoom interview on Onua FM on August 10, 2026, Akofena said his personal beliefs and the values instilled in him by his father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo, would not allow him to hurt any member of his family deliberately.

“To be honest, I have no intention of escalating more issues or causing any blood relation of mine any kind of pain or harm. It goes against my beliefs and what I stand for as a man,” Akofena stated.

He stressed that he would rather allow the judicial process to take its course than engage in actions that could further deepen tensions within the family.

“About the injunction issue, in Ghana here, we have the arms of government. We have the legislature, judiciary and executive. I pray and I know very well that we have a very good judicial system in this country, which I know will take its course,” he said.

According to him, his upbringing and the responsibility entrusted to him by his father have taught him to avoid actions that could cause harm to his siblings.

“It also goes against everything our father entrusted me with. I’m very well trained to the extent that what I have in me is of God and will not permit me to do certain things,” he shared.

Akofena also dismissed the perception that the dispute should be viewed as a contest in which one side must emerge victorious.

He stated that neither he nor his sister should be considered a winner or loser, insisting that the matter concerns the family and should not be turned into a competition.

“Even with the way things went that people were saying I’ve been embarrassed, you should know that nobody wins in this matter, not even me, Akofena or my sister,” he said.

He explained that, ultimately, the person whose legacy should be protected is their father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo.

“The only person who is supposed to win in this matter is my father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo,” he noted.

Akofena further rejected attempts to divide the family into factions, maintaining that despite the disagreements, they remain one family.

“It’s not like a competition whereby we would form teams. There’s nothing like my team and we’re all one people. It’s one Kantanka family,” he said.

He acknowledged that things may not currently be perfect among the siblings but insisted that their blood relationship remains intact.

“My siblings you see out there, if we should meet today, you would be surprised with the kind of things we would do. Even though everything is not okay, blood is blood, no matter what is happening. These things happen in every family, so it’s not ours that people will use as the centre of discussion,” he added.
