Founder of International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has disclosed that he is an "indoor person" who prefers staying at home and rarely goes out.

Speaking to his congregants during a church service on August 4, 2026, Bishop Obinim said anyone who doubts his claims can ask his wife, Florence Obinim.

He said despite their estranged relationship, she can attest to his lifestyle.

According to Obinim, he has always told his wife that if she is at home with him, he could stay indoors for as long as six months, only stepping out to attend church services.

The preacher recalled that during the period Florence Obinim and his children were living abroad, she nicknamed him "Mr Loneliness" because he was always at home whenever she called.

“When Florence Obinim was living abroad for about three years, and all my children were also abroad, I was the only person living in the house. Whenever she called, I would tell her I was at home. She would ask why I was always in the house, and I would tell her I was lonely. From then on, anytime she called me, she would say, ‘Mr Loneliness’” he said.

Bishop Obinim further stated that during the three years his wife and children were away, he could have chosen to engage in sinful acts or even bring another woman into his home, but refrained because of his Christian values.

“During that time, I could have gone out to sin or even brought a woman into the house, but that is not my character because of the evangelistic gift within me and the Holy Spirit living in me. I am not saying I have never sinned. I have sinned before, but all the mistakes I made came to an end in 2017,” he stated.
