Roman Fada, former manager of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has disclosed that the musician’s final resting place will soon be opened to the public as a mausoleum where fans and visitors can pay their respects.

Speaking to media personality Kofi Adoma, Roman Fada revealed that the family will soon announce a date for members of the public to visit the final resting place of the legendary musician, pay their respects and lay wreaths in his honour.

According to him, the family plans to make the final resting place a mausoleum that will preserve Daddy Lumba’s legacy and give fans the opportunity to learn more about his remarkable life and contributions to Ghanaian music.

He explained that visitors may be required to pay a fee to access the facility, with the proceeds expected to support the maintenance and upkeep of the mausoleum.

“The family has made it clear that the date when the public will have access to pay their respects at the final resting place of the late Daddy Lumba will soon be announced. The family’s plan is to turn the final resting place into a mausoleum, where the public will be required to pay a certain fee to access the facility,” he disclosed.

Roman Fada further stated that visitors to the mausoleum will be taken through the history and legacy of the celebrated musician. They will be educated about Daddy Lumba’s life, musical journey, achievements, awards, major performances and the impact he made on Ghana’s music industry.

He added that giant screens will be installed at the facility to display footage from some of Daddy Lumba’s memorable concerts and performances.

His music will also be played in the background to give visitors an immersive experience and keep his legacy alive.

The disclosure comes after the family of the Highlife legend marked the first anniversary of his passing by revealing details about his final resting place.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025. He was laid to rest in his private residence in East Legon, Accra, bringing an end to months of speculation surrounding the location of his final resting place.

The planned mausoleum is expected to serve not only as a place where fans can honour the late musician but also as a centre dedicated to preserving and celebrating the life, music and legacy of one of Ghana’s most influential musicians.
