Son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka and the Head of the Kantanka family, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, has expressed disappointment in not being able to set eyes on his father’s body.

He described the situation as painful and embarrassing for the family.

Speaking in an interview with the media on July 27, 2026, he said, “Imagine your father dies, it's been a year and you've not set eyes on his body. We've been very patient enough and it's embarrassing. It's very sad and I'm mourning; that's why I'm in all black.”

According to him, the ongoing situation has also created uncertainty surrounding the church his father dedicated most of his life to building.

He claimed that many members of the public are looking up to the church for direction, but internal issues have disrupted its operations.

"A lot of people are looking up to the church that our father toiled hard for over the years. He owned 95% of it, but now, everything is messed up," he shared.

Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena further alleged that a woman has taken control of affairs, making it difficult for the family to ensure a smooth transition.

"We were thinking we could make things go smoothly, but one woman has hijacked everything and she's doing her own thing," he alleged.
