I broke up with Armani, not the other way round

Ghanaian content creator and social media personality Asantewaa has addressed ongoing speculation surrounding the end of her relationship with musician cum socialite AMG Armani.

She has insisted that she was the one who ended the relationship.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session on July 26, 2026, Asantewaa dismissed claims that Armani broke up with her or that he had fallen out of love with her.

"The little correction I want to make is that I broke up with Armani and not the other way round. Those saying I'm not attracted to him anymore and he doesn't love me anymore, I want you to know that Armani really loves me. I would want to make a correction that he loves me and doesn't play about me," she said.

Asantewaa also opened up about the online abuse she has received since news of their breakup surfaced.

During the live session, she played a voice recording allegedly sent to her by a woman who hurled insults and made several accusations against her through a direct message.

According to her, the constant stream of abusive messages has made it difficult for her to access genuine business enquiries on social media.

"She sent it to my DM. While everyone is saying their minds in the comment sections, she brought it into my DM. You have no idea the things people send to our DMs. These are the reasons why some of you have entered into our DMs for business and we've not replied.

“We've not even seen the messages because most messages are full of trash. For a very long time, I've never entered into my DM because of things like this," she explained.

Responding to speculation that the relationship ended because she was pushing for marriage, Asantewaa clarified that she currently has no desire to settle down.

She revealed that while Armani was interested in taking the relationship to the next level, she no longer had feelings for him.

"Who said I have marriage in mind? Armani is very much interested in marriage, but I'm not. He loves me, but I don't love him anymore. He wants to see me so bad. I can hit my chest and let you know that he will tell you I'm the best he has ever met," she stated.

She further dismissed claims that she broke down in tears because Armani left her, saying any emotions she displayed were simply because she is human.

"I heard some people saying I came to cry because my man broke up with me. Yes, I will cry because I'm a human being, but not because a man has left me. A man can't leave me; I'm a big asset. I can't be a liability that someone would want to run away from," she added.
