The ongoing feud between Bishop Daniel Obinim and Benedicta Gafah has escalated after the actress shared screenshots of a heated WhatsApp conversation with the International Godsway Chapel founder.
Recently, Benedicta described Bishop Obinim as a “chronic liar” and a “disgusting” person in an Instagram post, following his claim during a church sermon that he had blocked her on social media.
Obinim explained that controversies involving his wife, Florence Obinim, and Benedicta had led him to block the actress to avoid further speculation.
'Disgusting, disrespectful liar' - Benedicta Gafah claps back at Obinim
In response, Benedicta insisted she was the one who blocked him and posted WhatsApp messages to back her claim.
In the alleged chat, she expressed frustration over her name being repeatedly dragged into public discussions. She urged Florence Obinim to stop mentioning her in interviews about an alleged romantic link with Bishop Obinim.
Parts of the chat captured Benedicta Gafah saying, “Disrespectfully, tell your wife to keep my name out of her mouth. I’ve literally not spoken to you since before COVID. I only called you in December when I kept seeing the news trending. I can be very respectful if I want to, and I can also be extremely disrespectful.
“…Is she serious? What have I done to her? Every conversation we had in December was recorded.”
She further alleged that Obinim once confided in her about concerns regarding his wife’s appearance, adding: “You were the one who said you had told her to stop whatever she keeps applying to her face and that she didn’t look good. If she wants to play this game, then let it begin. I’m tired of my name constantly being associated with you and your wife.”

Another screenshot showed Obinim’s response, in which he appeared apologetic.
“Afia, please calm down, okay. I have no intention of disrespecting you in any way. I have no idea about the interviews, so don’t blame me or put me in this situation. I will do my best to make sure she doesn’t mention your name again.
“I’m sorry if you are hurt or annoyed. Please forgive me. I don’t want any issues in Ghana… I have suffered enough, please,” Obinim allegedly said.
The screenshots also showed multiple missed calls from Obinim before Benedicta eventually blocked him.
