Ghanaian actress Charly D has spoken against cyberbullying, recounting how late actress Beverly Afaglo suffered harsh online criticism while secretly battling cancer.

Speaking in an interview sighted by Ghanaweb, Charly D explained that many people on social media often make hurtful comments without knowing the private struggles others may be facing.

According to her, Beverly Afaglo once became the target of online trolls after she decided to cut her hair low.

“People said her head shape wasn’t nice, and the style didn’t suit her,” Charly D recalled.

She revealed that at the time, Beverly was quietly battling cancer, a condition the public knew nothing about. Charly D said the negative comments deeply affected the late actress emotionally as she dealt with her health challenges in silence.

The actress used the moment to call for an end to cyberbullying, stressing that words shared online can have serious consequences on people’s mental and emotional well-being.

“You can’t tell what someone is going through, and your words can make things worse,” she added.

Her comments come amid growing conversations about the impact of online bullying, especially following the passing of Beverly Afaglo, whose death has sparked emotional reactions across Ghana’s entertainment industry.
