Award-winning Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has officially received the GH¢100,000 cash prize and album recording support promised by Guinness Ghana following his Album of the Year victory at the 2026 edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

The presentation took place after the “Iron Boy” hitmaker toured the Guinness Ghana factory alongside members of his team.

During the ceremony, Black Sherif was handed a cheque for GH¢100,000 as part of the brand’s commitment tied to the prestigious award package.

Speaking after receiving the support package, the musician expressed gratitude to Guinness Ghana for honoring its promise, noting that the recognition goes beyond him as an individual.

“I really appreciate the honor done to me because it wasn’t only for me,” he said.

Black Sherif further explained that moments like these serve as motivation for the next generation of creatives striving to make an impact in their various fields.

“I really think about kids, and I think about leaving a pool of inspiration for kids who are growing up, for people who are creatives. Because by my principles I believe everybody is a creative,” he added.

The award-winning artiste was accompanied by his management team as well as Robert Klah, a representative of Charterhouse Ghana, organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Black Sherif’s Album of the Year triumph further cemented his status as one of Ghana’s leading music exports, with many fans and industry stakeholders praising both his consistency and influence on young creatives across the country.
