Pastor Hammond Love, General Overseer of Action Grace Chapel and former husband of gospel musician Obaapa Christy, has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court over fresh allegations of stealing a Honda Civic valued at GH¢180,000 and forging documents connected to the vehicle.
Videos circulating on social media showed the 54-year-old pastor at the court premises dressed in a red and grey T-shirt accompanied by his legal team and some colleagues.
This comes weeks after Pastor Love was remanded by the court after pleading not guilty to the charges.

Earlier court appearance
During Pastor Love’s appearance at the Accra Circuit Court on April 16, 2026, Police Chief Inspector Ebenezer Teye Okuffo told the court that the complainant, Daniel Baidoo, a businessman based at SCC Weija, was introduced to the accused in October 2025.
According to the prosecution, Pastor Love claimed he was engaged in the sale of vehicles and persuaded Baidoo to exchange his Honda Civic and GH¢30,000 for a Range Rover.
The prosecution further claimed that the accused allegedly forged documents covering the Honda Civic and sold the vehicle for GH¢150,000. In his caution statement, Pastor Love admitted the offence and promised to resolve the matter but failed to do so.
The latest court appearance adds to a growing list of legal troubles for the pastor.
Pastor Love was first sentenced to a 48-month jail term in October 2024 in relation to a 2016 car fraud case involving his childhood friend Samuel Amankwaah, in which he was found guilty of stealing a vehicle entrusted to him. He subsequently appealed the sentence, with the matter still before the courts.
Pastor Love and Obaapa Christy married in 2003 and had three children together before their divorce was finalised in 2011 in a highly publicised separation marked by serious allegations from both sides.
