Renowned Nigerian fashion designer and entrepreneur Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, have welcomed their first child.
The entrepreneur, known for her luxury bridal and couture creations, announced the birth of their daughter in a social media post shared on May 13, 2026.
She shared news of the arrival of their daughter with the caption: “She’s here. 02-May-26, Eliana Adeife Atere.”
Veekee James went on to explain the spiritual meaning behind the child’s name.

She revealed that “Eliana” represents “EL (God) and ANA (He has answered)”, which together signify “My God has answered.”
The name, according to her, reflects gratitude and fulfillment of long-awaited prayers for a child.
She further anchored the announcement in scripture, quoting 1 Samuel 1:27, which reflects gratitude to God for answering prayers for a child.
“For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him,” she added.
