Award-winning Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Vyrusky, has weighed in on the ongoing discussions surrounding the lack of a confirmed venue for the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs), stating that he does not believe the organisers are genuinely struggling to secure a location for the event.

Speaking in an interview with GhanaWeb’s Patience Adu, the celebrated DJ described the current situation as a possible marketing strategy by the organisers rather than an actual setback.

“I honestly don’t believe they are struggling. Personally, I think it’s a marketing strategy. We are here to attend, so they better find us a venue,” he said.

His comments come amid growing public conversations over the official venue for the 27th edition of the prestigious awards ceremony, with many industry players and music lovers expressing concern over the delay in confirming the location.

Meanwhile, organisers of the awards scheme recently confirmed that this year’s event will be held at the Palms Convention Centre after plans to use the Grand Arena reportedly fell through.
