Renowned Ghanaian actress Nikki Samonas has shared her thoughts on relationships and why she has not yet settled down.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on OKAY FM, shared on Instagram on April 29, 2026, Nikki Samonas disclosed that she is currently single.
When asked why she has not settled down, the actress explained that she values her peace of mind, adding that marriage is not a yardstick to heaven.
“Love is a verb; it is a doing word, an action word. But we don’t base our decision to get married on love alone. If you go on social media, there are a lot of beautiful couples, yet many of them are divorced.

“In the same way, I say giving birth shouldn’t be a yardstick to heaven, marriage isn’t a yardstick to heaven. I want my peace of mind,” she said.
Nikki Samonas further noted that dating is an interesting experience.
According to her, although she has no experience in marriage, she finds dating enjoyable.
“I am in a relationship… dating is a very nice thing. I haven’t been married before, so I have no experience with marriage. But if you ask me, I can only speak about dating, and I will say it is a very nice thing.
“If I get married and come back here, then you can ask me the difference between marriage and dating,” she added.
