Outspoken Ghanaian preacher Rev Obofour has shared his thoughts on the ongoing power outages and other issues affecting Ghana’s development.
In a video shared on TikTok and sighted by GhanaWeb on April 28, 2026, Rev Obofour raised concerns over how some institutions in the country have been destroyed by fire.
According to him, many of these incidents are the result of deliberate actions by some individuals, which led him to describe such people as insane.

He then shared his views on how the current power outages, popularly referred to as ‘dumsor,’ have been politicised by Ghanaians.
“You wake up and hear that the central market has been razed by fire. Someone will intentionally destroy the road. Who do you think you are destroying? Some of you are insane in this country. You will see a hospital with no beds.
“Is Ghana a country where the Kumasi market should easily catch fire? Even though the second market has not been constructed yet, some traders still sell in the rain,” he said.

Rev Obofour further raised concerns about how some individuals destroy public institutions and resources mainly for political gains.
“There will be someone occupying an office, and just when that particular person becomes the prosecutor for corruption, you wake up and hear that the office has been razed by fire. You think you are destroying the country.
“Some of you behave like you were raised by animals. You may think you are destroying the country for a particular minister, but you are destroying yourself. Some of you are wicked,” he added.
