Ghanaian rapper Pappy Kojo has opened up about his journey in life and music, describing himself as exceptional not only in his career but as a person.
Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey on April 27, 2026, Pappy Kojo reflected on his background and how his experiences have shaped his perspective.
“I feel like a GOAT, not just in music but as a human being. When I look back, I’m alive, where I came from and where I am right now, you have to be the GOAT to go through what I went through,” he said.
According to him, his life story is something he has carefully documented over time.
“It’s all there, I’ve documented everything. I’m not going to sit here and lie to you, but I’m a serious Dbee,” he stated.

Despite describing himself in such high regard, Pappy Kojo was quick to clarify that his journey has not been defined by extreme hardship.
“It wasn’t really about going through life. Maybe when my mum would leave me in Ghana, travel abroad and I would miss her,” he explained.
He noted that, compared to many others, he has had a relatively smooth path in both life and his music career.
The rapper credited his early breakthrough to a collaboration with Joey B, which quickly brought him into the spotlight.
“I never went through hardship. Even with my career in Ghana, I was never like an underground artiste trying to break through. I just came, did a song with Joey B and it just blew up. I didn’t have to struggle in life like that and I’m thankful for that,” he added.
