Kofi Owusu Aduonum, the husband of Guinness World Record singathon contender Afua Asantewaa, has disclosed that his wife is set to release a new song.

Speaking on United Showbiz on April 11, 2026, Kofi Owusu Aduonum responded in a lighthearted manner when asked about his wife’s earlier allegation that he had made himself the sole owner of their house.

In a jovial tone, he diverted the conversation and disclosed that Afua Asantewaa is working on new music.

He further appealed to gospel singer Empress Gifty, who hosted the show, to feature on the track.

“You know Afua is about to be single, and she wants to feature you. If you give me the opportunity, I will sing an excerpt of the song… Put yourself in this song, and you will hear from us, Afua Asantewaa featuring Gifty Adorye,” he said.

The video has since sparked reactions online, with some netizens applauding Mr Aduonum for the maturity he displayed in responding to the question, while others criticised him.
