American rapper Cardi B has disclosed how she fell victim to an alleged credit card fraud involving tens of thousands of dollars.

Speaking during an Instagram live session on April 8, 2026, the artiste recounted how she discovered suspicious transactions on her card while on tour.

According to Cardi B, she realised her credit card had gone missing about two weeks ago, despite always keeping it securely in her purse.

“Two weeks ago, I noticed that my credit card was missing, which is funny. I don’t know what happened because I always had it inside my purse,” she said.

She explained that because her card is linked to her phone, she receives instant notifications for every transaction, which quickly alerted her to unusual activity.

“Everyone knows I don’t play about my money, so my credit card is connected to my phone. Every time something is purchased with my card, I get a notification on my phone.

“I then saw a purchase of $40,000 from my card, and I was wondering how that happened. Ever since I’ve been on tour, I’ve not bought any clothes or anything,” she stated.

Initially suspecting her assistant, who occasionally uses the card for errands, Cardi B said her concerns escalated when another transaction was made shortly after.

“I even thought it was my assistant who bought something because he normally uses my card to shop. Thirty-five minutes passed, and there was another $20,000 purchase on Apple,” she disclosed.

Her accountant also received alerts and immediately reached out, prompting swift action to block the card and investigate the transactions.

“My accountant called me because of the notification she also got. She asked me what was going on, and as soon as we realized the funny activity going on, we completely cut off the credit card,” she noted.

Cardi B further disclosed that they contacted the stores involved to verify the identities of those behind the purchases and obtained surveillance evidence.

“We automatically called the stores to confirm the identity of those who used the card. You all will go to jail by the end of the week. I’ve got clear pictures of those trying to get money out of Chase, and they’re four men,” she said.

The rapper warned the suspects that they had been identified across multiple locations and would be held accountable.

“You can’t get money from my credit card. One thing about me is that I don’t play with my money. I’ve got clear pictures of you from all three locations you tried making the purchase with my credit card,” she added.
