Ernestina Fosu, the elder sister of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has recounted the bond she shared with the musician and how she once supported his career.
In an interview shared on Instagram on April 7, 2026, she emphasised that despite her brother’s wealth, she never depended on him financially.
“What I remember is that when I was going to kindergarten, he cried and wanted to follow me. Since then, we have been very close. We became distant later in life due to marriage.
“But he used to call me all the time. I am not a beggar, so despite all his money, I never asked him for any,” she said.
She also recounted an incident where she sold her television to support him during their early years.
“We are only three siblings. I even remember asking my mother how she would give Charles money when he started earning because he is a man. I used to think about him all the time,” she added.
