Mzbel has taken to social media to hit back at Afia Schwarzenegger, who mocked her recent emotional breakdown on United Showbiz.
During the UTV show, Mzbel addressed one of the pundits, Nana Frimpong Ziega, lamenting how she has long been shamed for speaking out about rape incidents she suffered.
She recounted how the police publicised her complaint after she was raped by armed robbers in her home, as well as her alleged sexual abuse involving a man of God.
According to her, it is unfair that Ghanaians continue to ridicule her over these traumatic experiences.
Mzbel further claimed that the NDC has even sidelined her because of the infamous “Papano” saga with Tracey Boakye, which they believe contributed to the then flagbearer John Mahama’s electoral defeat at the time.
Afia Schwarzenegger, however, took to Instagram to brand Mzbel a pretender, who is merely “playing victim” and seeking public sympathy.
In a fiery post, Afia questioned Mzbel’s credibility, mocked her appearance during alleged encounters, and insisted that “tears can’t represent the truth.”
Mzbel responded sharply, declaring she is ready for a “beef” with Afia.
“The tears I shed on UTV weren’t because I was angry at anyone. I was angry with myself for staying silent whenever rumours circulated about me. And you, Afia, I am ready to do this beef with you. You have started it, and I will see it through,” she said.

The 'Sixteen Years' hitmaker stated that Afia's act of using her rape trauma to shame her is a “low blow,” adding that she has healed and no longer feels hurt by such attacks.
“You thought saying I’ve been raped would hurt me, but it didn’t. It used to, but no longer does. I’m going to deal with you, and until you stop, I won’t stop. We’ll have it in chapters if we must,” she declared.
Mzbel escalated the feud in a video posted on Instagram, fuming over Afia’s stance and also levelling several allegations against her.
The clash has since ignited heated reactions online, with fans and critics divided over the bitter feud between the two longtime rivals.
