Ghanaian social media influencer Ama Burland has opened up about how she overcame suicidal thoughts after alleged “fake” nude images of her went viral online.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, sighted by GhanaWeb on X on April 2, 2026, Ama Burland revealed that Nana Aba Anamoah played a crucial role in saving her life during that difficult period.

According to Ama, the broadcaster stood by her and was willing to defend her, regardless of whether she was actually the person in the leaked video or not.

“When the 2019 incident happened, Nana Aba called me. It was my first time being involved in a scandal, and I was overwhelmed to the point of considering ending my life. But she was ready to do everything for me. She called me and spent the whole day with me.

“She wasn’t even concerned about whether I was the one in the video or not… all she cared about was that I stayed alive,” she said.

Ama Burland also expressed her deep gratitude to Nana Aba Anamoah, stating that she would always be willing to support her without charge.

“I would do anything for Nana Aba Anamoah for free because she has been very pivotal in my career… I would never charge her for anything,” she added.
