Ghanaian social media personality Ama Burland has responded to critics who frequently mock her physique online.
She said no amount of online bullying will push her to undergo cosmetic surgery.
Speaking in a video circulating online on March 10, 2026, Ama Burland addressed comments from netizens who have repeatedly criticized her for not having the curvy body type that many female celebrities frequently flaunt online.
According to her, such statements began when she started posting full-body videos of herself online.
“When I started taking full videos of myself on social media, some people would be saying I don’t have buttocks. They keep behaving like I’m the first person to not have buttocks. So you want to tell me that at your age, you’ve never seen someone who doesn’t have buttocks?” she said.
Ama Burland also explained that her body structure may be influenced by her mixed-race background.
“My name is Burland, meaning I’m a white girl. My dad is Scottish, so I have white blood in me. where do you want me to get the buttocks from?” she questioned.

Despite the constant online criticism, she emphasised that she has no intention of undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) or any form of cosmetic surgery.
“There’s no amount of social media bullying that’s greater than my fear of surgery. If I wasn’t scared, maybe I would have considered BBL,” she noted.
She added that she is uncomfortable even with minor pain, making the thought of undergoing surgery unappealing.
“Even when I’m braiding, and it’s paining me, I would just ask the hairdresser to stop, not to talk to me lying down for them to cut my body in the name of surgery,” she explained.
Ama Burland said she is comfortable with her natural body and believes people should accept her the way she is.
“This is the buttocks I have, so you all better accept it,” she added.
