American DJ and music producer Rogger Beats has shared his thoughts on Ghanaian music’s global reach, naming Black Sherif and King Promise as the most-listened-to Ghanaian artistes in the United States.

Speaking on Hitz FM, the international DJ noted that in terms of mainstream listening in America, where he is based, King Promise and Black Sherif dominate the charts. He emphasized that there are numbers to back his claims.

“Right now, honestly, the ones we hear the most are Black Sherif and King Promise. They are mainstream. I mean, you can check the numbers,” he said.

He further explained that his comments are not based on fandom but on data from streams and airplay in the U.S.

“I’m not talking as a fan. I’m neutral. But numbers don’t lie, radio doesn’t lie. This is what is going on,” he said.

DJ Rogger Beats also stated that Ghanaian artistes have the potential to fill major venues in the United States, such as Madison Square Garden, if they collaborate.

“If we could get a lot of Ghanaian artistes together, we could do Madison Square or even a stadium. There are a lot of Ghanaians in America, so if we could get about four or five big-name artists to come together, that would be awesome. It would also give the American culture more to listen to,” he shared.
