  GTA as an institution is bogus and successive managers have not lived up to expectation imagine tour guides license have an expiration period of 1 year just 1 year and Ghana passport and Ghana card expiration period is over 5 years.
  
  Year of return was something great that happened to Ghana apart from PANAFEST and Emancipation day. But in the end the past government messed the whole thing up by bringing in beyond the return as if all the Black diaspora have arrived in the country.
  
  At a point in time if a person with the know how comes up with a great innovation some mediocre people will fight the innovation. Its sad how we do our things here in Ghana.
  
  Tourism can earn Ghana more income than gold and cocoa if it is well managed and yet mediocrity has taken over. Tourism minister Dzifa Gomashie cannot turn the industry around, a person being an actor musician or a stake holder doesn't necessary mean the person has the knowledge and expertise to manage the industry. It is so sad how we do our things here in Ghana everything has a political attachment to it.
  
  The Ghana tourism industry must be managed by professional who have the knowledge and expertise to manage it well and turn things around for the glory of Ghana and the betterment of the industry.
