SHE CLEARLY HAS HER PRIORITIES RIGHT. SHE MAY WELL BE THE ONE WHO ENDS UP BEING THE GREATEST SUPPORT TO HER AGING MOTHER IN YEARS TO COME.
My spouse acted in a similar fashion several years ago by declining to join in the bitter infighting and scramble for assets by siblings when the father passed away.
Even though not the eldest child my spouse through diligent hard work and consistently refusing to join in bitter family squabbles about inheritance that dragged on for years has earned the greatest respect from siblings and other relatives. My spouse's quiet dignity by staying above family squabbles has without asking for it become recognised as the extended family head. After nearly two decades my spouse is also now well ahead financially compared to all the siblings despite inheriting the "leftovers" after all the others helped themselves to their father's assets.

How much does a lawyer earn in Germany? She is just living in a fantasy world and a fool paradise. She would never get a fraction of what the mother and the father have achieved. The mother has thought it wise to entrust everything to her as a daughter instead of the brother. This is the typical mindset of Akans or Ashantis due to our matrilineage inheritance. There is a civilise way of withdrawing your name through your mother`s lawyer if she is indeed a lawyer trainee. A fool is born a fool.

Daddy Lumba's assets as published recently may look big in the eyes of the average Ghanaian but no disrespect to the dead they were not really that great. You couldn't buy a half decent 3-bedroom house with that money in cities such as Hamburg, Paris, Amsterdam or London.
IN VIEW OF THIS WHY SHOULD CHARLYN FOSU WASTE HER PRECIOUS TIME NOW CHASING AFTER ASSETS THAT SHE CAN EASILY SURPASS IN A DECADE OR TWO IF SHE CONTINUES WITH HER CURRENT STUDIES. IT WOULD BE DAFT FOR HER TO PUT HERSELF THROUGH A LOT OF STRESS JUST TO INHERIT A PIECE OF HER FATHER’S LIMITED ASSETS.

Having lived in Germany or anywhere else in the West for 40 years + per se doesn't mean much unless you were very productive (became very successful in your career and obtained significant financial means). No disrespect to those who do low paying jobs but if a person spent 40 years doing a low wage job thereby possibly forcing them to live from paycheck to paycheck then they would hardly be expected to become very financially secure.
IT IS NOT LONGEVITY OF STAY THAT COUNTS BUT ONE'S PRODUCTIVITY.
The point some of us have been trying to make regarding Charlyn Fosu’s sudden change of heart can be summed up as follows:
THE BEST PREPARATION FOR A SUCCESFUL FUTURE FOR ANY PERSON IS ALWAYS ROOTED IN HOW THEY MAKE USE THE PRESENT.TIME IS IRREPLACEABLE, IT IS VERY PRECIOUS.IF YOU WASTE TODAY YOU WILL NEVER GET IT BACK AGAIN.
And that Daddy Lumba girl Charlyn appears to be trying to ensure her future success and security by focussing on what matters most RIGHT NOW, that is building a career by using her time wisely and focussing on her very demanding studies. The fact is that to be successful as a black professional in the West you must outperform white colleagues often by a very wide margin to be considered for a position. That is reality.
Another thing people don't seem to realise. If Charlyn Fosu as expected eventually becomes employed in the legal profession, the last thing she would want is people digging up past negative publicity about her especially in relation to the legal related matters.
