During many Ghanaian funerals, a majority of those who demand to play a prominent role in the event do so sadly because of the opportunities to syphon off monies or get their hands on goods and assets. The worst culprits are often close relatives of the deceased who see nothing wrong with shamelessly exploiting emotionally vulnerable mourners, donors and sympathizers. The level of selfishness, insatiable greed and heartlessness demonstrated can be truly mind boggling. It is not uncommon for family relationships to become severely damaged or even permanently fractured because of this type of shameful behaviour and exploitation.

It is very disgraceful that there is enough time to litigate over the dead body of a deceased instead of being productive. The disgraceful litigation going on is mainly about nothing but the financial gains the litigans stand to make.

Ghanaians are becoming fed up with the growing drama in getting the iconic musician laid to rest. Isn't it stupid to keep litigating over a dead body which will eventually be buried without any use to anyone? When will the Ghanaian develop genuine love for the living instead of the dead?

The family must ceasefire immediately and ensure that the dead musician is laid to rest, he had suffered enough!
