I am American and the grammys should mean nothing in artists abroad, absolutely nothing. They should mean anything to American artists of color. Global markets have the potential to command just as much attention and power in the entertainment industry. Countries typically celebrate their own entertainers which is the origins of the grammys and other US awards. Global recognition and celebration managed by a respected a global unified board may be the way international artists should look to set things up to get a wider audience. America is definitely an attractive pool to expand and make money but the pool has limits and it has never been the only hotspot to seek validation. Do you your own things but collab with other countries to make it as big as possible. Everyone will take notice.

So after Nigerian artists win Grammy, what impact and change has it brought to Nigeria as a country? Look at all the things going on in Nigeria..as for u Nigerians, the way u adore foreign validation is beyond madness..yet half of Nigerians are living in poverty..look at the Christian Genocide going on in Nigeria..the bottom line is foreign validation cannot bring any change to Nigeria as a country..Nigeria artist winning Grammy yet most Nigerian citizens are treated like trash all over the world..continue seeking for foreign validation instead of seeking for development..

Well said DJ slim..am sorry to say Africans are the most useless human beings on earth..I will not even say sorry..Africans are too useless and it’s just baffles my mind..the average African has low self esteem, low confidence level, always seeking for foreign validation..the average African either rich or poor don’t feel complete unless some slave master gives them validation..why are u working in Africa yet seeking for validation somewhere as a musician in order to feel accomplished..these are things that the slave masters always put in place to distract our focus..the African is always focused on things that will not bring any benefits to its environment and people..the bottom line is, it doesn’t matter how many Grammy that African artists win, if Ghanaians, Nigerians, South Africans, Tanzania, Kenyans etc win let’s say Al the Grammy categories and cannot manage your economy, nobody will respect u..Africa is too backwards, these are not the things that Africans should be fighting for..Africans should be seeking for development, good paying jobs, standards healthcare, our youth should be staying in Ghana to contribute to national development.. In this 21st century, Africans have still become laughing stock to the world because we can’t even control our own economy and resources..always fighting over unnecessary things that don’t bring any development to our society..look at 6 Ghanians killed in stampede because of unemployment..these are the things that we should fight over to bring the needed change..we are always worrying over things that are not beneficial to our society..it’s very sad
