  This is a very excellent assertion about the church. I have come to a point to realised that churches in Ghana are individually owned. Their owners invest in it to get followers and make money NOT for Almighty God BUT for themselves. So, to me, churches are profit making institutions where they use the name of Almighty God to make money. So, it will be very impossible for any church in Ghana to eradicate poverty or meet the need of the poor. That is why, I am of the view that, the church pay tax to government and government use the tax for development. Go their churches schools and you will asked so many questions. They are very expensive. It is impossible for the church to eradicate poverty.

  Name any country on earth where any religious group has been able to eradicate poverty. How do you expect these Houses of Deceptions to have any ability to eradicate poverty in Ghana when they're more interested in fleecing gullible souls? Many of the financially sound churches in Ghana get the bulk of their money from foreign donors who pour millions of dollars into their churches with the understanding that these churches Are "bringing African souls to Christ", but little do these well-healed foreign donors know that the pastors use much of those funds in running their personal business enterprises. The last thing on their minds is the eradication of poverty. Religious groups in Ghana do not have what it takes to eradicate poverty; they can help to soften the pain of poverty through the use of food banks and other charitable means, but such acts will never come close being able to eradicate poverty in Ghana. Even the government with its enormous resources won't ever come close to eradicating poverty in Ghana. It takes jobs, meaningful family planning, a government willing to support the private sector, and a society willing to move away from its love for corruption and shortcuts (both government officials and the general public), to reduce poverty levels in the country.
