  Reports say that Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa, who lives in Germany, has re-emerged claiming rights as his legal spouse. That may be technically correct under foreign law. But let’s talk honestly: for more than a decade, she wasn’t by his side. When he was sick, when he struggled, when his spine failed him — she wasn’t the one feeding him, cleaning him, or holding his hand through the pain. Those who were close to him know that it was Odo Broni who stayed. She became his companion, his helper, and the mother of his children.
  
  And now, after all these years, headlines are calling Akosua Serwaa “the rightful wife” simply because of an old marriage certificate. That may satisfy a lawyer, but it doesn’t sit right with the human heart.

No wonder our country is graduating thousands of lawyers daily. No disrespect to some qualified lawyers. But seems majority of them get their law degrees from christmas crackers.
