These are the foolishness from so called influencers that we entertain this modern times that always spoil the unity of this country . Powerful? In what sense? He commands a trained army? Why are these people always trying to give some impression that they are some better humans? What is all these arrogance, self gratification and sheer tribalism shown every time that necessitates abuse then they complain? The King himself has always portrayed civility but some idiots always want to bring his name on the market for abuse. Every tribe in Ghana have their King but you hardly hear of any of their people showing this arrogance and divisiveness towards this dear nation of ours. Has there been a war in Africa between tribes for some one to claim powerful title? Why at all should this be a question for someone to ask for an idiot to respond to?

Isn't it interesting how some Ghanaians don't see anything to talk about when the Gas call their leader "King Tackie Tsuru" but start suffocating when the Asante people rather simply refer to theirs as Otumfuor? Instead of quoting the Ghana Constitution in your futile attempts to prove a useless point why don't you rather quote the Bible or the Quoran to prove that he's only an Odikro like your village chief?
Since it appears this is the first time we have witnessed the funeral of a traditional personality in Ghana, let's wait till we see how it goes when your own village chief passes on.
What you see on his car number plate is simply "ASANTEHENE", his proud subjects call him OTUMFUOR, he pulls the crowd like no other person in Ghana. If this is what offends you, why don't you take it to the International Court of Justice for redress?

Did you address my comment on why you are comfortable with one traditional ruler whose formal title is 'King' but can't even breathe because someone has referred to the one who sees himself as Otumfuor Asantehene as king? You can go and drink poison, use the Bible as your source to refer to him as odikro, and shout to the world that your own Odikro is more important or powerful, the Asante people are comfortable seeing their ruler as who he is: Otumfuor ASANTEHENE.

Ignorant talk....Asantehene does not come close to the Morocco king, Eswatini king, and even some chiefs in Nigeria. First we did not see Very important people like Kjng Charles at the funeral. Even Eswatini sent their deputy prime minister. Per our constitution The Asantehene is not a king. The Asante kingdom which used to be a forest kingdom was conquered and the status of its kingship came to an end in 1901. NO KING in the world right now is under a president. The most powerful person in Ghana is the president.

Charles of Britain is a King. Not only is he absolute monarch of Great Britain but 14 common wealth countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand to name a few. That, is a King.
King Mohammed VI of Morocco is the absolute authority of the whole country. That, is a King.
King Mswati III of Eswatini is the absolute authority of the whole country. That, is a King.
Have you ever seen Emperor Naruhito of Japan visits Otumfour at Manhyia? But he visited King Charles and King Mswati III. There are levels to these things.
Ohenek3se3, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, maybe be referred to as "King of the Ashanti Kingdom" by Asanteman but that is about it. When that "kingdom" became a protectorate of the British Empire, it was conquered at that point and seized to be what it was. Which is also why Otumfuor was invited to King Charles coronation. Well that and their York Rite Free Mason Brotherhood Fraternity ties. Don't get it twisted, there are real Powerful Kings in Africa. Odwan

Yes, there are kings in Ghana; and the Asantehene is definitely one of them; he’s the king of Asanteman. Same goes for the king of Dagbon. We have subnation monarchy (kings) in Ghana and not absolute monarchy as they have in Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Britain, etc.
People need to learn the difference between absolute monarchy and subnation monarchy. Google the term “subnation monarchy” online for clarification and education. There’s nothing in Ghana’s constitution that is against the concept of subnation monarchy or kings in Ghana. That’s why there’s a highway in Accra that’s officially named as King Takyi Tawiah highway, named after Ga king.
“ Subnational monarchies in Africa are traditional kingdoms and chieftaincies that exist within larger, modern nation-states rather than as independent sovereign countries. Examples include the Ashanti and Dagbon in Ghana, the Yoruba and Zulu kingdoms in Nigeria and South Africa, and the Mossi in Burkina Faso. These monarchies preserve cultural heritage and often have constitutional or statutory recognition within their host countries, though their power and jurisdiction vary significantly.”

It’s about time Otumfour stopped the misuse of resources and directed the wealth toward improving the welfare of his people. Too many African leaders prefer to keep their subjects poor while they themselves live in abundance. Just a short distance from Manhyia, poverty is visible everywhere. It is shameful to see such hardship in the midst of great riches, while luxury cars are paraded for display. Instead of uplifting his people, he seems more focused on aligning with those in power to enrich himself.

Otumfour is been remotely controlled by his freemason Bosses.
He is under the instruction to turn the other Akan chieftancy into a freemason cabal where all the Akan powers would be subsevient to Western Freemason Empire .
The Akans sit on the most valuable natural resources in the world and the only way the west can take control of our natural resources is through the Asantehene.
That is why Otumfour was initiated in freemason in order to used his absolute power to en stool his freemason members onto all the Akan paramouncies.
In that way, all the Akan kingdoms would be under the direct control of Western Freemason Empire.
The paramount interest of the Global freemason empire is to use Otumfour as a conduit to get access to our vast natural resources.
My question to Otumfour.
Is his allegiance to his Freemason Bosses or SIKADWA?

Ghana is a republic, and no king is above the President or the Constitution. The Asantehene is respected, but his authority is mainly within the Ashanti Kingdom, just as the Yaa Naa leads Dagbon, the Ga Mantse leads Accra, and the Okyenhene leads Akyem. Each king is powerful in his own area, but none governs Ghana as a whole.
That is why it is an exaggeration to boast that the Asantehene is the most powerful king in Ghana, Africa, or even the world. In reality, Ghana is governed by the Constitution and the President, while chiefs and kings serve in traditional and cultural roles.
Some Ashantis speak very highly of their king, even calling him the richest and most powerful. But when you look at the region, you still see poverty, people struggling for daily needs, and galamsey destroying rivers, farmlands, and forests. If the king had unlimited power as some claim, such challenges would not persist. This shows that his influence, like that of all chiefs, has limits.
The Bible reminds us: ‘Pride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling’ (Proverbs 16:18). True greatness is not in boasting but in humility and real results.
Even in language and daily life, we all have strengths and weaknesses — no tribe is perfect. Every group in Ghana contributes something unique to our nation. So it is not right for anyone to lift themselves above others or to look down on fellow Ghanaians.
The truth is this: no tribe is the best in Ghana. Every tribe has its strengths and challenges. The Ashantis, like all other tribes, deserve respect, but their king does not rule Ghana. Respecting tradition is good, but exaggerating power or wealth only misleads. Jehovah God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

Powerful in what. The Asante Kingdom is in ruins with no jobs, poor and bad amenities, dirty cities with zero regard for the enviroment. Destroyed water systems and more problems. All we see is people dancing Adowa and cultural show offs at funerals and other celebrations in very filthy settings. In Ghana we have lots of chiefs and leaders who have motivated their citizens to clean the cities and make the place fit for human. Otumfuo Osei Tutu and his league of chiefs can do the same to make Kumasi amd the Asante Kingdom a great place to live. Even the once Great Asante Kotoko are a laughing stock under Otumfuo's patronage. Apart from leading the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital fundraising drive and renovations, what has Nana really done. Wasting money traveling and polluting the air with lots of cars just for the sake of Adowa dancing and building unity and friendships never makes one a great leader. Otumfuo is influential and a very respectable King in the world but not even a powerful Chief in Ghana as he can not even control his chiefs.
