For instance, traveling from Kumasi or Tamale to Takoradi requires a detour through Accra, with no option to book a single, connected ticket. Passengers are forced to purchase two separate tickets—often from the same airline—and if one leg is delayed or disrupted, they bear the full cost of rebooking or paying exorbitant fees. There’s no compensation, no refunds, and no alternative arrangements offered. The duopoly held by PassionAir and Africa World Airlines needs urgent intervention to ensure fair competition and better service for travelers.
