My mother in law (white, German) does something similar. She’s equally protective of her room and space. When we paid attention, we realised she talks to her late husband, as if he’s still alive and living together with her. Seems to comfort her so we let her be. Sometimes we ask about her ‘conversations’ in a kind way and try to cheer her up, bringing up nice old memories and that seems to make her happy. Try to be supportive and kind, some people take longer to heal after losing a loved one. Get a psychiatrist to check her and show her some love, she needs that not neglect or fear. Check also for Alzheimers maybe? Goodluck and stay strong.

As a mental health provider in the US, I can guarantee you that this happens to more people than we can imagine. Please get your mother some professional help, and forget about her being a "witch." Failure to get her help could eventually make her a danger to herself or others because of her loss of touch with reality (psychosis) and fixed beliefs (delusions). Good luck!

It is not proper for such people to prevent their old parents and relatives not to have any sexual contact with the opposite sex.

She probably has unexplained lesions on her brain due to disturbed sleep patterns, stress or medications that she might be taking. Please include her in family things and explain it to your children not to be afraid of her. She may be going through a lot so her brain doesn't shut off when it's time for her to rest. Assure the children that what is happening to your mother is harmless and please don't resort to supernatural thinking. She is perfectly alright.
