Music and movies devoid of profanity and gratuitous sex appeal to a much wider audience and tend to remain in circulation for a very very long time. That is why many movies and songs of the 1950s, 1960s are still around and still enjoyed by millions.
Most of the movies and songs that are sprinkled with profanity have since long ceased to exist!
