That guy sold the grandfather's lands including a cemetry the grandfather willed his descendants living in the town to be buried to the Chinese to do galamsey and made that money from it. As powerful as the stool maybe, the guy didn't live to enjoy the money. He had passed the to his mom for safekeeping before his death, but the mother didn't live long after the death of her son. Finally the money was sent to Cecilia Dapaah for safe keeping by his brother who is a very successful businessman. Finally that money was stolen by Cecilia's househelp. What I can conclude for all this is that the late grandfather fought back for the destruction of his town. All his successors maintained the town very well until Cecilia Dapaa's brother was given the position by their mother who was the eldest niece of the grandfather
